Certificates of Authenticity (COA)
Certificates of Authenticity are a great way to add value to your reproductions. As an Artist you need to validate the quality of your art. Buyers might not always understand the value. Over the years as your reproduction is passed down to others it is important to have this information. The COA is documented on photo quality sheet and includes a picture of the art and other very important information. Giclee reproductions are a great way of creating a second market for your work. We include information such as finish, size, title, edition number (if any), substrate (canvas, paper, acrylic, aluminum), substrate of the original, issue date, guarantee.
COAs are mostly common in the art world. Generally speaking, a valid COA for an artwork will include specific details about the artwork like when and how it was produced, the names of people or companies involved in the artwork’s production, the work’s exact title and the dimensions of the art. The COA should also state the qualifications and full contact information of the individual or entity that authored the certificate with his or her complete and current contact information.
