One of the most common questions I get is what exactly are canvas prints, and what are the differences and/or benefits in relation to more traditional matted and framed prints. The short answer is it all depends on your personal tastes and preferences, budget, interior design, and location where the image will be hung. A paper print needs to be matted and framed. These are additions that can become very costly. In additional to extra costs the framed photo print will require glass to have full clarity. Very few acrylic panels have the clarity of glass. So if you are shipping the image to a client – glass can break. It is also much heavier that canvas. Printing photography on paper use to be the standard but not any longer. In addition to canvas photos can also be printed on aluminum or acrylic.
